The copper ions will infuse in the water, transforming it into naturally alkaline Tamra Jal. That’s it! Since ancient times, Ayurveda has advocated the benefits of drinking copper water. As per Ayurveda, water stored in a copper vessel turns naturally alkaline, leaving it tasting silky smooth. The charged copper water helps bring balance to the Tridosha (Vata, Kapha and Pitta) of the body. In Ayurveda, this transformed, therapeutic water taken from copper vessels is called ‘Tamra Jal’.
Copper Infuser is an interpretation of this principle, but with a modern twist! Copper Infuser immersed in water for up to 12 hours has the same effect of transforming simple drinking water into vitality-filled Tamra Jal.

Yes! Our Copper Infusers are laboratory tested and proven to increase the pH level of water, making it naturally alkaline. Copper also acts anti-bacterial and is known to have self-sterilizing properties. Modern science calls this the oligodynamic effect – the inherently toxic effect of certain metals on pathogens.

Pure copper naturally develops patina over time. This does not hamper the anti-bacterial properties of copper even if it turns darker over time. In case you notice a green residue on your infuser, kindly clean it before further use. Please refer to the cleaning tips in the subsequent section.
Copper Infuser is super easy to clean. Simply polish with lemon + salt. Wipe off the mixture with a clean damp cloth or rinse with clean water.
